Fire safety

This was an interesting job to work on. We had to show the house before and after the fire, so needed to find a location that we could set fire to.

We found a house that was a bit of a wreck, and then did quite a lot to the exterior to make it look like a normal family home.

Once we had the shot, the special effects people created some controlled fires around the windows and door to make it look like there had been a much bigger fire inside.

The writers wanted the whole thing to be completely real so we didn’t do any post production whatsoever.

The legendary Timothy Spall did the voiceover.
